These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website, operated by CD Portfolio Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the site you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
These Terms apply to the website only. They do not create an investment mandate, a partnership, an agency relationship, or any obligation on us to consider or respond to a proposal sent to us.
CD Portfolio Pty Ltd is a privately held family investment office. It manages the capital of a single family, does not accept external capital, and is not open to subscription. This website exists to explain how that office thinks about capital: its approach, its governance, and the reasoning behind the positions it holds.
Everything published here is descriptive of one family's own arrangements. It is published for general information and for the record, not as an invitation to invest, and not as a solicitation of any kind.
You may use this site if you are capable of forming a binding contract and you comply with these Terms. If you are using the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
The site is published in Australia and is not directed at any jurisdiction where its publication would contravene local law. If you access it from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.
You may view, download and print pages from this site for your own reference or for internal discussion. You may quote short extracts with attribution to CD Portfolio Pty Ltd, provided the quotation is accurate, is not presented out of context, and is not used to imply endorsement or association.
You must not use this site:
Nothing on this site constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting or tax advice. Nothing here is personal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation or an inducement to acquire, hold or dispose of any financial product or asset.
The material is general in nature. It does not — and by its nature cannot — take account of your objectives, financial situation or needs. Before acting on anything you read here you should consider your own circumstances and, where appropriate, obtain advice from a licensed professional who can.
We do not hold an Australian financial services licence authorising us to provide financial product advice to retail clients, and we do not provide such advice. We do not accept external capital, we do not manage money for third parties, and we do not offer or market any financial product through this site.
Descriptions of holdings, portfolio construction or past decisions are provided as illustration of an approach. They are not an offer of any interest, not an invitation to co-invest, and not a representation that any described position is currently held, available, or suitable for anyone.
Any communication you send to the office — including through a form on this site — does not create an obligation on us to respond, to consider a proposal, or to treat it as confidential unless and until a separate written confidentiality arrangement is executed between us.
We take care with what we publish, but we do not warrant that the content of this site is accurate, complete, current or free from error. Positions described may have changed by the time you read them. Figures, where shown, are illustrative and are not audited.
Content is provided for general information as at the date of publication. We may update, amend or remove any part of the site at any time without notice, and we are under no obligation to keep any page current.
Some material may describe intentions, expectations or views about the future. Those statements are inherently uncertain. They reflect our judgement at the time of writing, they are not predictions or guarantees, and actual outcomes may differ materially. We undertake no obligation to update them.
The text, layout, design, graphics, logos and images on this site are owned by CD Portfolio Pty Ltd or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws in Australia and elsewhere. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
You may not remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trade mark or attribution notice appearing on the site. Requests for permission to reproduce substantial extracts, or to use material in a commercial or published work, should be sent to the office in writing.
The name "CD Portfolio", the CD Portfolio logo and any other marks appearing on this site are trade marks or trade names of CD Portfolio Pty Ltd, whether or not registered. Nothing on this site grants you a licence to use them. Use of any mark in a way that suggests affiliation with, or endorsement by, the office is not permitted.
If you send us a message, proposal or other material through this site, you confirm that you are entitled to send it and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.
You should not send us confidential information through a web form. Unless a signed confidentiality agreement is in place, we are not obliged to treat unsolicited material as confidential, and we are free to use or disregard the ideas it contains without compensation or attribution. Material you send is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Where this site links to external websites or refers to third-party material, the link is provided for convenience and does not constitute endorsement, verification or adoption of that content. We do not control external sites, we do not warrant their accuracy or availability, and we accept no responsibility for their content, their security, or their handling of your data.
If you follow a link, you do so at your own risk and the terms and policies of the destination site apply.
We endeavour to keep the site available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted access. The site may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, migration or reasons beyond our control.
We may suspend, withdraw, restrict or change any part of the site without notice, and we may discontinue it entirely. We are not liable to you if, for any reason, the site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind — express, implied or statutory. Without limiting that, we do not warrant that the site will be secure, error-free, free of viruses or other harmful components, or that defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CD Portfolio Pty Ltd, its directors, officers and employees are not liable for any loss or damage — whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive, and whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.
This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of data, business interruption, and the cost of substitute services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CD Portfolio Pty Ltd, its directors, officers and employees from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of your use of this site, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of any right of another person.
Your use of this site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, which explain what information we collect, why, and how you control it. Those policies form part of the framework that applies to this site alongside these Terms.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force.
No waiver. A failure or delay by us in enforcing any provision is not a waiver of that provision or of any other right.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer any right or obligation under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a restructure or transfer of the business.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of this site, and supersede any prior understanding on that subject.
Variation. We may amend these Terms at any time by publishing the amended version on this page. The "last updated" date below indicates when the current version took effect. Your continued use of the site after that date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and of any courts competent to hear appeals from them.
If you access the site from outside Australia, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude the application of any law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The four questions these terms usually raise: advice, content use, liability and governing law.
No. All content is general information about how one family office manages its own capital. It does not take account of your objectives, financial situation or needs.
Nothing here is a recommendation to acquire or dispose of any asset, and nothing here should be relied on as personal advice.
The text, layout and images on this site are owned by CD Portfolio Pty Ltd unless otherwise stated. You may view, download and print pages for your own reference.
Republishing, adapting or using the material commercially requires prior written consent.
The site is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law, the office excludes liability for loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site, and does not warrant that the content is complete, current or error-free.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
Email info@cdportfolio.com.au or write to Level 3 / 685 Burke Road, Camberwell VIC 3124, Australia.
Questions about permissions, corrections or the interpretation of these terms are answered by the office directly.
No. Descriptions of holdings, allocations and reasoning are published to explain an approach, not to document a current position. Holdings change, and a page may not reflect the position as at the date you read it.
Nothing described is a representation that any position is currently held, or that any approach described is suitable for anyone other than the family whose capital we manage.
Yes. We may amend them at any time by publishing an updated version on this page, and the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the amended terms. If you do not, the appropriate course is to stop using the site.
This page summarises the Terms of Service above. Where the two differ, the full terms prevail.
